STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Beat The Heat

It’s official, summer is over—so we thought, at least. It’s no surprise that San Diego is known for its weather, yet these past few weeks of school have been hot, humid and horrible. Everyone dreads the walk between air-conditioned classes, where it seems like shade is nonexistent.

Luckily, this Fashionista‘s romper is the perfect solution. This classic little black romper is comfortable and classic, which makes easy to dress up or down and pair with cute jewelry and accessories. I am obsessing over this trend because it is so easy to transition from summer to fall by wearing it with sandals or a pair of tights, booties and an edgy leather jacket.

This Fashionista is not afraid to mix colors either. Newsflash: you can mix black and brown! Mixing these colors can add a pop of color to an all-black outfit. I love how she added an over-sized brown tote to hold her books and laptop. Just be sure to stick with similar shades and not add more than three different colors to keep the outfit balanced. Don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone a bit. By adding a few gold layering necklaces and my all-time favorite aviator sunglasses, this Fashionista is ready to hit the halls and strut her way to class.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I’m always looking for clothing that I can effortlessly throw on for school, but can still wear out on the weekends. Simple, classic and comfortable are definitely the three things I think about when shopping.”
