STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Be True to Your School

As the fall collegiate athletic season begins to come to a close, we find ourselves bundling up for football games in our warmest layers to cheer on our favorite team. It may look sunny, but the November wind can be brutal. It is the ideal time to dress up your favorite and comfiest sweatshirt to stay warm while looking super chic at the games. Comfy, warm clothes are best when paired with hot drinks and great company, but this Fashionista found the perfect way to make you take a double take of her casual attire.

What college girl’s wardrobe is complete without a crewneck sweatshirt to represent her school? They basically embody traditional collegiate style, as they’ve been worn by students since the early 1950s. And hey, this base layer can be found in almost every school’s bookstore—talk about product availability.

Since it was an incredibly windy day, this Fashionista decided to make a statement with some stylish cold weather accessories. The blanket scarf quickly became a winter wardrobe must-have, since it keeps you incredibly warm while still looking incredibly chic. There are so many ways to style it: as a shawl, an infinity scarf, a wrap or you could belt it to make it into a vest. Plus, the tartan plaid makes for a fun pop of color against her otherwise dark outfit. To literally top off the outfit, this Fashionista decided to wear a sparkly knit head wrap to match her boot socks. Since fall to winter transition weather can sometimes be unpredictable, neutral Hunter Boots were the perfect choice; you never really know when it’s going to rain in Western Pennsylvania.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “In cold weather, scarves are without a doubt your best friend. There are so many different ways to style them, and they can take an outfit from zero to one hundred real quick.”
