STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Backpackin' To School

September 29th, 2016 at 2:00am

Well, it’s that time again—back to school. I’m not going to sound too excited about this time of the year. But going back to school always excites me for a couple of reasons, dressing up, seeing all of the cool trends everyone around campus is wearing and showing off any new clothes I put into my wardrobe over the summer. Whether you are a freshman or a senior in college, you will always want to look trendy and cute on your first day of class. That motivation will definitely go away when you are further into the semester, but take advantage of it while it’s there.

When dressing for a day of class you want to take a couple of things into consideration, if you are dressing to stay cool in the heat, but warm enough in the air conditioned rooms. If your shoes are comfy enough to sprint around campus all day from one class to another and whether or not you feel good in your outfit so you can get to where you need to without any distractions or discomfort. Lastly, you want to make sure you look super cute.

Dressing for class will always depend on your mood. Maybe you are in a more dressy mood and like wearing a loose dress or skirt, or feeling casual and go with a pair of jeans or shorts paired with a plain shirt. Or maybe you are in a laid back mood for leggings or sweat shorts and a cute T-shirt paired with nice sneakers. On this post, I am sharing with you an outfit that this Fashionista is wearing as a back to school look for a day of classes.

She chose a more causal, laid back vide, including ripped boyfriend jeans from Forever 21, a tied white V-neck to give the outfit a trendier look, Steve Madden slip-on sneakers, a black choker, a baseball cap and, to finish it off, a leather backpack. Your options for dressing for class are limitless, just don’t get too carried away! So make your days at school a little better by dressing in something that you feel good in. I promise it will make even your worst day a whole lot easier because school might not always be the most fabulous, but your outfits will be.
