Style Advice of the Week

It’s been a long, tough semester, but we’ve finally made it to the end. Spring 2014 has come to a close and summer has arrived. Despite the excitement and approaching summer months, the weather has been a rollercoaster of temperatures. Though many of us Fashionistas would like to be in bright spring colors and shorts, the forecast has not been permitting. Consequently, we’ve had to revert to our mundane ways, but it’s okay. A true Fashionista goes with the flow and always makes it work. With that, I’ve noticed a lot of Fashionistas pulling out their pants and leather jackets all because of this random chilly and rainy weather.

Fortunately, we know how to move past the disheartening clouds and make sunshine with the power of our ensemble choices. This Fashionista took it back to black with her Michael Kors bag, leather jacket and pants. Her ensemble is perfect for a night on the town and the wind chills. Many may find a dilemma with dressing cute on a chilly day, but this Fashionista makes it look effortless. A black leather jacket is always perfect to top off an ensemble because it matches just about anything. She also sports tan bootie wedges that are great for both the weather and season. The tan complements her black and cream top and is also a great neutral shade the spring.

For this week, I advise all Fashionistas to hang in there. Our desired warm weather will eventually become stable. In the meantime, if the weather is not permitting you to dress your best, remember there’s always a way to look stylish. Black is a great foundation color and anything can be created around it. Don’t give up because of the forecast. Just make some temporary alterations to your spring wardrobe and take it back to black.
