STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: All You Need Are Booties

For those of us living in states with actual seasons, fall generally means leggings, boots/booties, scarves and big sweaters. However, if you live in Florida you normally can’t wear this much clothing until about November. We have to get creative and attempt to dress fall-like in as little layering as possible, which is what this Fashionista has demonstrated exceptionally well.

This Fashionista has taken the very popular combination of high-waisted shorts and crop tops to a new level. Velvet is trending once again, and this Fashionista has paired a velvet crop top with patterned shorts. The patterned shorts are detailed with maroon, which is my favorite fall color. She is also wearing maroon socks with her black booties. Her whole outfit speaks subtly of fall, but it’s her booties and socks that really make the outfit look fall ready (at least for fall in Florida).

Boots and booties are probably the most popular shoe for the fall season. So if you’re someone living in a place that doesn’t get too chilly, just try adding boots or booties with socks to an outfit to change it from summer to fall. Tights, leggings and sweaters can also be added to this outfit once it gets a little colder.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Pairing solid colors with patterns is one of my favorite ways to add something unique to my outfits. I suggest using neutral and deep tones for the season, and maroon has always been my go-to color for fall!”
