STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: A Pop of Color

February 20th, 2015 at 2:00am

Dressing in the winter months can be quite difficult. Most people tend to want to dress in dark colors since they feel it matches their moods about the weather, but that can become monotonous very quickly! I say switch it up, wear a few dark pieces then add in some color to make your outfit pop against everyone else. When I spotted this Fashionisto sporting a pop of color I knew right from the start he wasn’t letting the winter weather affect his style.

This trend of adding a pop of color can enhance any outfit and take it from drab to fab. I love how this Fashionisto wore dark black jeans on the bottom and let the top of his outfit compliment the darkness in the pant. The couple of black lines on the sweater also help to tie in the black pants with the rest of the outfit.

The way this Fashionisto displayed his pop of color is just right. He gave a sneak peak of color by wearing a Ralph Lauren multi-colored checkered shirt underneath his warm Eddie Bauer camel sweater. Additionally, by leaving the top of the sweater unzipped, and slightly rolling up the sleeves on the sweater, it gives the whole outfit a more relaxed and casual vibe.

So guys don’t be afraid to add a pop of color to your outfit. It will help you to stand out from the rest of the males at your school and show that you know how to dress in style.
