The day was clear and the breeze was slight — the perfect day for a trip to the farmers’ market to pick up the week’s juicy fruits and scrumptious veggies. The farmers’ market draws all sorts of students from the lax and lazy to the prim and preppy. Every Fashionisto/a has the right to gallivant the booths at their leisure.
Fashionisto/as, forget practicality and dress however you wish, how ever you feel. But next time you hit the market, remember this Fashionista as an icon of style and trend for day to day life. Like Diana Vreeland’s first column in Harper’s Bazaar‘s “Why Don’t You,” why don’t you wear a crazy printed dress with stilettos, with an ever so chic large brimmed hat? So why don’t you? Fashionisto/as embrace fashion and live with a little chic fantasy in any state or form!
When asked about her outfit selection for her market trip, this Fashionista giggled and remarked, “why wouldn’t I wear this?” There are no rules on what to wear when you go shopping for veggies. You dress how you feel and how you want to be seen, life is too short to dress by rules!
This ultimately chic Fashionista is the height of stylish wearing a bold zebra print dress. The dress is conservative but funky with its scoop neck, mid hemline and sleeveless cut. Though simple in her dress, she makes the look complete with accessories, such as her ever so trendy this summer big, cat eye Versace sunglasses and ultra wide white brimmed hat like that of the ’70s. To make this outfit chic and feminine this Fashionista wore cream pointy toe ankle stelleos. Now gurus, you can’t forget your wicker basket to sport your freshly purchased produce!
