STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: 50 Shades of Neutrals

March 17th, 2015 at 2:00am

It’s easy to wear something all-black, but when it comes to neutrals it can be a little tricky. Sometimes it’s hard to find colors that would go with neutrals and if it’s a color you’ve never worked with before, it could intimidate you. Not to fear, though! All you need is some advice from a Fashionista/o who knows how to wear neutrals. This Fashionista can lead you to the right direction on how to properly rock neutrals.

A really smart move on how to wear this trend is by wearing more than one item that is neutral. As you can see, this Fashionista is wearing more than one item of clothing that is of a neutral color. She is wearing a camel colored oversized fuzzy coat from Bloomingdale’s with an interesting patterned scarf hanging from the neck. She made sure to wear a white sweater from Free People with some black leggings from Zara underneath the scarf, which make the neutrals stand out from the outfit. She paired the rest of her outfit with some gold studded reddish-brown ballet flats from Michael Kors and a lemon colored Longchamp bag. For accessories, the Fashionista kept it at a minimum, wearing a sideways cross necklace and diamond earrings.

Wearing different shades all at once work very well together. Don’t be afraid to pair beige colors. Just remember that you can never go wrong with neutrals!

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Be unique! Don’t be afraid to try something different. You create your own style. Neutral colors are always good to mix and match.”
