Well, spring semester has finally come upon us and we are all starting to get back into the groove of waking up too early and going to sleep too late. Our campus coffee shop has become the first stop in the morning because there’s no way we are getting through that morning class without our Venti soy lattes if you are at all with me. But the greatest thing about new semesters is that it’s a new start and a new runway so to speak, to show your style.
If we are honest with ourselves, are we at all surprised that these shoes are sold out everywhere? The velvet trend is taking fashion by a storm, from tops and dresses to booties, so we are not at all shocked that these sneakers have adopted the velvet trend. This Fashionista paired her Fenty Puma sneakers perfectly with her black overalls and T-shirt. To accessorize the outfit she threw on a classic velvet choker, sunglasses, and a gray beanie. If you are in a place where the weather is a little chillier you could throw on an oversize cardigan to keep warm as you walk to class. The texture of the sneakers with the velvet choker as well as the neutral tones give the whole outfit a cohesive vibe. I think that the velvet trend is something that can be so fun to play with. There really is no right and wrong, and I think if there is any trend you try, it should be this one!
So as we start this new semester, don’t let the cold or lack of sleep let your style come to a halt. Remember to stay positive, because when you look good you feel good, so take that extra ten minutes to put together something you really love.
