STYLE ADVICE: Neutral Necessities

February 15th, 2017 at 2:00am

January tends to be the month where all people want to do is keep warm. Everyone’s main worry is to get to class without slipping on the ice. Looking stylish is the least of everyone’s concerns this freezing winter at Washington State University, but those who find a way to keep warm and rock some of the latest fashion trends need to be given some major credit.

This Fashionista is both weather appropriate and stylish with her cozy front draped vest. This statement, but neutral, piece completed her all black outfit. Underneath, she is wearing a black slim-fitting, but not skin-tight black long sleeve shirt. The material of this long sleeve is thick enough to keep her warm. She paired her outfit with tight and thick black leggings, which are staple to have in a wardrobe. She is also wearing comfortable, flat black booties that have small gold detailing on them. This is very subtle, but the gold hardware on her shoes really ties in with the gold circle necklace she has on. Even a dainty necklace can really add a personal touch to anyone’s outfit! To add more texture to her outfit she put on a fun lace bralette underneath. This part of her outfit is also a neutral color to go with the rest of her clothes.

This Fashionista is trekking to class and looking cute at the same time. She proved to everyone that you don’t have to make a huge statement in your outfit everyday, whether that be color or something different. Anyone can rock the neutral pieces they have in their wardrobe and still make a fashion forward outfit. All you need is some neutral necessities in your life to make an outfit work!
