STYLE ADVICE: Matching Done Right

I am back this month with another Fashionista I have spotted on my campus. With the seasons changing, the weather has been quite unpredictable. It could be windy and chilly one day and sunny and warm the next. Sometimes this can make it more difficult to decide what to wear.

Sometimes a look doesn’t have to be extravagant in order for it to work. This Fashionista kept it simple and spiced her outfit up with a few coordinating pieces. She paired simple light wash jeans with a cream, color-blocked sweater. She incorporated the burnt orange color throughout the rest of her outfit.

This is a very easy way to make an outfit work. Pick out one or two colors and use them to pull everything together. The booties this Fashionista is wearing takes her outfit to the next level by dressing it up. The chunky heel makes the shoes appropriate to wear to class and around campus being easy to walk in. The leather jacket goes perfectly with the shoes without incorporating too much burnt orange. Finally, her simple brown Nine West bag is both cute and practical for a college student.

This outfit screams college student who’s ready to take on anything. This Fashionista has confidence as she walks around campus knowing her outfit is “on fleek.” The next time you are struggling to decide what to wear to class, don’t be afraid to through on a pair of heels and take your look to the next level! Remember, when you look good, you feel good.
