STYLE ADVICE: Gray Matter

The groundhog saw it’s shadow, which means we can continue to bundle up for the next six weeks. With that being said, the sun is definitely not hiding but is instead beaming down- glistening the snow and keeping our moods at an all time high during the chillier of days.

To match with the hush and cool tones of the season, I’ve resorted to making the most out of my favorite color—gray! Thanks to my Fashionista and her grey Yeezy’s, this athleisure look will have you at max comfort and style throughout the entire busy day. If I could live in sweats, I would, which is why I cherish outfits like these. They are just as suitable as jeans and a T-shirt in most circumstances. Also, I think it can be true in saying that fashion is pushing the boundaries for where athleisure is accepted. After all, our favorite street style looks are not only a stand out pair of jeans or an eclectic but perhaps uncomfortable outfit. Our favorite street style outfits consist of more track pants than we would of ever thought—yes.

In addition to the sneakers, this Fashionista keeps the colors consistent with her gray crewneck sweater and having that be the last piece of gray we see—the point has been made and the look is halfway there. To stick with the cool tones and keeping everything in sync, diverting away from gray and adding black pieces maintains the athletic and polished look. The oversize scarf is not only necessary, but is the perfect accessory to the black knee length jacket.

Basically, when you’re going for a monochromatic athleisure look, try and keep your shoes the same color as your top. This trick will make choosing the other pieces that much easier.
