STYLE ADVICE: Going Green

We’ve all the heard the saying time and time again, “April showers bring May flowers,” but this Fashionista isn’t letting these rainy days in Muncie affect her style. I’m loving how this Fashionista created a layered look with statement pieces that are still really fitting for these rainy April days.

The part of this Fashionista’s outfit that I found really inspired was the way she paired a green, quilted army jacket with a graphic T-shirt. The camo prints of her graphic T-shirt and the texture of the jacket really come together and pair nicely. This makes her look not only functional for a day on campus but also just an all-around fashion-forward look.

Moving onto the rest of her beautiful ensemble, her black distressed denim jeans really pull together the other pieces of her outfit. A bold choice like distressed denim is perfect for an outfit like this and is a great balance between trendy and casual. So when prepping your wardrobe for spring and summer, always remember a good pair of denim can really add that extra dash of glamour to a look.

To add those important final touches, this Fashionista is rocking this fabulous pair of velvet booties. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with booties because of their versatility. If you’re wanting a shoe that’s fashionable but also great for class, booties are the footwear for you. These shoes are a perfect choice for any trendsetter looking for pieces that are versatile for different occasions.

This outfit is so rad because all of the pieces come together to make a one-of-a-kind look that’s ready to take on the day, no matter what the weather outside is. As the seasons are changing, so are our wardrobe choices, and my advice is you may want to take some tips out of this Fashionista’s style playbook. Stay true to your style, but don’t be afraid to step outside of the box and experiment with eclectic pieces this spring.
