STYLE ADVICE: Edgy Made Easy

When the cold weather hits, I begin to lose motivation to put a lot of effort into my outfits. If I am forced to leave the warmth of my bed, I am usually dressing in leggings, boots, and big sweatshirts. Nothing about my old hoodie from high school says cool and edgy. I say it’s about time we all get up on a cold day and find the motivation to dress as cool as the snow on the ground.

This Fashionista nailed a cold weather, edgy outfit. I believe that the starting point of any great outfit is a great pair of denim. These boyfriend jeans are perfect for colder weather because the tears have a patch of denim under them. You get all of the edginess of torn jeans, but none of the cold that typically comes with it. Another cold weather staple is a killer jacket. Bomber jackets have been stealing the show lately. The details on the back of this Fashionista’s bomber jacket are to die for.  She kept it simple for her top with a black cropped turtle neck. I think my favorite part of this look is definitely the shoes. These lace up, army green and black booties scream edgy. They add a subtle pop of color to her outfit and pull the whole look together. To top everything off, this Fashionista added some super cool rings to her outfit.

It’s easy to slack off on our style when the cold weather rolls around. However, this Fashionista proved that it’s easy to be edgy and warm with a couple of statement items and basics that you already have in your closet. So, bust out those bomber jackets and booties and show the world that the cold never bothered you anyways!
