STYLE ADVICE: Class Cutie

Being a college student typically means being inherently tired and showing it. We roll out of bed for our 9:30 a.m. class, wondering why we scheduled that time, and throw on whatever. Then there are those people who are all done up with a full face of makeup and looking like their ready for a photoshoot. I’ve been each of these people, but my typical go to fit is an in-between of the two.

This Fashionista has mastered the art of being cute and casual for that block class, early in the morning. She has paired a plain, neutral-colored crop top with high-waisted jeans as to not show too much stomach for a day of learning. I don’t see booties going away any time soon because they are so versatile and just the best. This Fashionista kept it rustic and sassy with a pair of brown, suede booties that give a little lift. I love how she matched these booties with her brown, suede wrap choker. (Side note: I advise coordinating your shoes with your jewelry as best as possible for any time you get dressed up because it creates balance of your top and bottom half, all while standing out against the rest of your look!) The key to any chill and relaxed outfit is an oversize cardigan, right? This Fashionista finished her look off with a long cardigan.

For an outfit like this, a cardigan (or even flannel) not only completes the look, but also is functional. You’re able to stay warm on a brisk morning or in a cold classroom. Then, you can easily tuck it away or tie it around your waist and embrace the sun.

How do you try to slay for a day on campus?!
