STYLE ADVICE: Booting the Winter Blues

With winter upon us, it is time to start bundling up and wearing things that will keep us warm. While my mother always told me it is important to choose whether you wanted to be comfortable or be cute, I never listened to her. I believe that you don’t need to choose one or the other, but you can have it all! This Fashionista knows how to do that well!

She is wearing a beige plaid blanket scarf, and let me tell you, it is probably one of the comfiest scarves I have ever touched. She said that even sometimes it is a little too warm. She is also wearing a black jacket that is half leather, half sweater. Not only is she rocking the chicness of a black leather jacket, she also gets to snuggle up with the cozy sweater material. To add to the complete trendiness of this outfit, she chose to pair her outfit with a soft pair of earmuffs. Earmuffs are coming back into style and I could not be happier about it. They provide all the warmth that beanies give you without the hat hair problems!

Underneath her accessories, she wears a simple black shirt and blue jeans to not draw too much attention away from the real eye grabbing focus point of this look—her boots. These boots are everything I ever needed in life. She is rocking knee-high, tan suede boots with western/floral embroidery on them. They have a little heel to them but she says they are still comfy enough to walk to class in. To finish her look, she has on a beaded choker that seems to be a main trend these days.

I love how this whole outfit is something that is very stylish and trendy. It is something anyone would love to wear going to the city or class when it is cold out but you still want to be looking put together. Overall this Fashionista is killing it in a look that would make any mother (and Fashionista) proud!
