My name is Soleil Tacher, but my friends call me Sol for short. I’m currently a sophomore at the University of Florida, majoring in Public Relations with an expected concentration in political science. This is my first time working with CollegeFashionista and I am more than eager to start writing!
I was born and raised in South Florida by a Peruvian mother and a Cuban/Puerto Rican father. You can only imagine what our family dynamic is like at home. Think The George Lopez Show, but more dramatic. Having been raised by Hispanic parents has introduced me to a world beyond that of my hometown. My Hispanic descent has played an integral role in not only my upbringing but in my personality as well. Having said that, it is this component that has helped me become a more outgoing and creative individual. This in turn can be reflected through not only my writing, but through my style as well.
While I’ve only lived in one place all my life, I’ve seen enough places to know I’m destined to live in an urban setting where I can continue to mold my style and personality in a place where fashion plays an integral role. I hope to one day move to New York City where I can further my career in both fashion and media in general.
I am currently the historian for my sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon, as well as an avid blogger and coffee addict. My passions consist of Chanel, social media, Netflix, stand up comedy and attending almost any music festival. While I’m not certain of what career I wish to pursue, my consistent passions in life have always come down to writing, fashion and making people laugh. I hope you enjoy my posts as much as I enjoy writing them!
