Alice McCall’s spring/summer 2014/15 collection at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (Australia) did not disappoint. It contained shades of pistachio greens, carnation pinks and a mixture of fabrications including loose ruffles, beautifully crafted laser cuts, crochet knits, lady-like silhouettes and floral embroideries. Staying homage to its sweet and feminine aesthetic, it was the talk of the town at fashion week.
So to no surprise, after seeing the show, everyone felt inspired to embrace all things girly and sugary. On the streets, fashionistas incorporated the girly trend into their diverse styles: floral patterns on swinging dresses, lace combinations on straight skirts and even edgy dyed pink hair were seen.
In terms of décor though, girly-girl bedrooms do not fall short. They are probably one of the most timeless and popular décor trends to still exist. To whirl up your space in this girly trend, think about arranging a bouquet of flowers in your room, placing a vintage chic lamp on your desk, putting up lace curtains and decorating the rest of your room with anything pink!
