“It’s the most wonderful time of the year” and with that comes many holiday parties to attend! Whether they be grand or minor, your wardrobe should remain hassle-free yet stylish. More time will be necessitated wrapping gifts and relishing moments shared with family and friends. As my first Fashionisto, I couldn’t be more pleased. A touch of formal and casual is blended perfectly to create an archetypical male ensemble for gatherings.

College Fashionista: Why did you choose to wear this outfit today?
Tyler Holms: I knew it was going to be chilly. I also work at Nordstrom so this is what I’ve become accustomed to.
CF: Do you have a favorite designer?
TH: I have a few actually: Ben Sherman, Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs.
CF: If you could only wear one color for the rest of your life what would it be and why?
TH: Black. It’s versatile and fully functional. You can wear all black and remain stylish.
CF: What’s an item every Fashionista/Fashionisto needs for cooler months?
TH: Cardigans! Especially one with pockets because they’re so adaptable.
CF: What do you like about Texas State fashion?
TH: It requires you to think about what you’re going to wear. You have to have multiple outfits on to adjust to fluctuating temperatures. It’s Texas so it’s cooler in the mornings and evenings while warmer in the afternoon.
How To: Recreating this look is hassle-free. To begin find a collared, white shirt and tie. Nordstrom has a selection homogenous to Tyler’s. Place a grey cardigan over and button. Finally, dark pants and oxfords will complete the look.
