My name is Stephanie Schmidt and I’m a magazine hoarder, a shopaholic, and ambitious for all that is fashion. I am a junior at Clemson University studying Marketing with double minors in management and communications and I am originally from the (super) small state of Delaware. This summer, though, I’ll be leaving both of those small towns behind for one of the biggest cities in the world- New York City! I will be a full-time intern and learning more about which fashion career is the right fit for me. Half of my time will be devoted to a large fashion public relations company and the rest will be spent with a designer. In my very little free time I will be blogging for my personal blog as well as a few other online sites. My passion for writing and fashion has escalated a lot recently and I could not be more anxious to write about the fashion of New York City!
From spending time in three very different places, my style has evolved to be very unique. It’s classic, feminine, and bohemian; it’s everything and always changing. No matter what style I try to channel, my closet will always be full of blazers, skirts, wedges, and too many handbags. I’m without a doubt a little obsessed with bags. This summer I will be writing for the ACCESSORIES REPORT so my obsession could not be more appropriate! I will be scouting the streets for the best shoes, bags, jewelry and whatever daring accessory a fashionista/o is sporting. I really believe accessories can alter an entire look. For the less brave, an accessory is a simple way to try something new. Statement jewelry has recently become something I’ve been trying and it can change an entire outfit and make it look completely new. With my love of people watching and 8,175,133 people to watch in this city, I’m bound to find some great accessories out there. After living in NYC for the next three months I hope to take more risks and try a lot of new trends I see on the streets!
