One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. Going thrift shopping has become very popular these days. There is even a song called “Thrift Shop,” which I am currently obsessed with! Going thrift shopping can be really fun, you just have to know how to look and have an open mind for things. This Fashionista went to the nearest Saver’s and found this fabulous fur vest. But if you are not a thrifter, then here is a similar fur vest by Shopbop that is just as cute. She paired this with a simple white blouse, then wore it with denim jeans and dark brown boots. I loved how she incorporated her fur vest with her blouse. It really made her outfit standout in the crowd. I believe that adding a touch of fur to any outfit can add instant glamour.
The fur vest can be worn for a night out or just going to class. It truly is a statement piece. There are many styles of fur vests out there. There is the leopard print, as well as the ombre black. If the fur vest is too daring, you can always have a vest that is not all fur. This vest from Charlotte Russe is a great example of that. Another way of adding fur to your wardrobe is having a faux fur scarf. It can be used as an accessory, or like a collar popping out of a sweater. One can also place it on top of their jacket, creating the illusion that it’s attached.
I am currently looking for the perfect fur vest. I would love to pair it with my leather leggings for a night out. I think it gives it that punk star look. For a more casual look, I would probably pair it with a bold printed blouse and jeans, or with a statement necklace. I hope I’m lucky enough to thrift one up like this Fashionista.
