WHAT TO WEAR: Study Group

What to Wear

Meeting with a study group for the first time is always a little fun. You get to talk and meet new people outside of the class you share with them and a lot of times it’s a great way to make new friends within your major. The people from those first few study groups of your college years could turn into your friends you end up doing homework or working on projects with for the next four years. Because the people in your study group could potentially be your new BFF or maybe even boyfriend, as always, a good first impression when it comes to the way you’re dressed is key!

I caught today’s Fashionista outside the library rocking this trendy yet school-ready look perfect for meeting with a study group. This outfit is the definition of campus casual the way a true Fashionista would do it. The layering, bold colors, and laid back vibe this outfit is giving off is just too perfect for words and would be sure to impress any member of a study group whether you’re trying to find some new friends or a date.

This Fashionista’s look wouldn’t be what it is without the layering that is going on. The focal point of this outfit, her floral sweater, draws in onlookers and acts as a cool burst of pattern in her otherwise solid look. On top of her floral sweater, this Fashionista is sporting a navy blue canvas coat with a fun fur trimmed hood. The inside of this coat is lined with a shearling fabric that gives the illusion of another added layer to the look. On bottom, this Fashionista is wearing an adorable khaki circle skirt. This casual cut is perfect for class and the lace lining that in peeking out from underneath fits in perfectly with the layering theme of this look.

My favorite parts of this look are all the gorgeous burgundy accessories added in. This Fashionista is wearing a pair of deep red tights that are bold and different, but also complement the rosy tones of her sweater. Her boots are the same color and I love the monotone look of the two items create when combined. Finally, today’s Fashionista added a fun red, leather backpack that coordinates perfectly with her boots and tights.

One Simple Change: By losing the bulky jacket and adding another dainty accessory, such as a pretty headband, this look is the perfect amount of formal for an in class presentation.
