As a senior, I’m experiencing the weight of graduation on my shoulders. Whether you’re off to grad school, looking for a full-time position come May or trying to secure a summer internship, there are a lot of events taking place around campus to help make the process a little easier. One of these helpful events is of course a career fair.
With spring semester well under way there’s no doubt you are getting e-mails from your school notifying you about potential employers who will be coming to your campus. Career fairs are a great way to get yourself out there and feel out the job market. While your resume and people skills say the most about you, looking the part is always important too. Today’s Fashionista is sporting a career fair-chic ensemble that not only looks professional but very stylish as well.
This Fashionista is wearing a great pair of high-waisted trousers that have a formal feel but aren’t your average business slacks. The gathering of the pants and tailored cut make them very flattering and the fabric and bow detailing at the waist give the pants a high fashion feel. These pants look extremely comfortable and are great for career fairs, interviews or a day at the office once that dream job is landed. She also tucked a nice black top into her pants. The color is simple and the way the fabric lays make the shirt look quite nice.
Finally, the item I love the most about this look is her blazer. The blazer is a staple in every girl’s closet but this piece stands apart from the average topper you might find. The longer length, slimmer lapels and all around tapered design of this blazer make it extremely fashionable, elongating and very feminine. This piece is great for so many occasions, which is why I absolutely adore it.
Today’s Fashionista topped off her look with a simple pair of black pumps, an oversized nude leather bag, giant sunnies and a tidy hairdo. My advice? Take a page from this Fashionista’s book and you’re bound to land a job sooner rather than later!
One Simple Change: Throwing this amazing blazer over a flirty dress or jumpsuit instead of pants and a top will automatically take this look from business-chic to night on the town hot!
