Winter weather has finally arrived, and that means its time to break out your cold weather coat. Traditionally, this has resulted in Fashionistas everywhere trading in their cute fall toppers for jackets that range in colors from black to blue, turn you into a figureless blob and make swishing noises when you move. While fluffy down-filled jackets are practical, the winter uniform of North Face parkas worn by college girls everywhere is in no way fashionable. Luckily today’s Fashionista has a solution and is exemplifying that, in fact, the abdominal snowman look is not your only option as we enter December.
Today’s Fashionista is looking both stylish and cozy in her long wool coat that features a trendy tribal print, tooth-inspired fasteners and a chic fur lined hood. This jacket is adorable and a breath of fresh air in the vast sea of girls parading around campus in puffers. This coat is great because you could literally be wearing a Hanes T-shirt underneath, and no one would know that the rest of your look wasn’t equally as on-trend as your coat. Judging from the rest of this Fashionistas visible ensemble, however, I doubt that is the case. She chose to wear her coat with a pair of milk chocolate colored corduroys and sleek black leather boots. Both items work perfectly because they play into the color scheme of the coat. Coincidentally, even this Fashionista’s silky dark hair looks as if it were coordinated with her outfit!
Adding a colorful or patterned jacket to your winter wardrobe will help you stand out and inspire you to wear fashionable looks all throughout the bitter winter months. And if you don’t love tribal prints try out stripes or leopard. My suggestion? Add one of these fun toppers to your holiday list ASAP!
