One can never go wrong with leopard print and red, regardless of the occasion. This trendy Fashionista was spotted on her way to a weekend brunch as she sported one of my favorite combinations. With colored pants becoming so popular, when this college student found these red cigarette high-waisted jeans, she knew they would soon become the next addition to her wardobe.
Our Fashionista paired the red jeans with a long top, designed in half leopard print and half solid black with a gold zipper separating the two fabrics. To match the zipper, she accessorized with a gold watch and chain. For her shoes, she wore chunky tan Jeffrey Campbell platform pumps.
Another stylish combination for the red jeans would be leopard flats with a simple black top, which would also look great accessorized with gold jewelry, a perfect outfit for a casual night out with friends. You could also combine the jeans with a tucked in black tank, belt, chunky jewelry and a fringe bag. Then, add a touch of leopard print to complete the look with a headband, scarf or even some fun sunglasses.
Red and leopard print have been paired together in the past, mostly by celebrities as seen in the Vogue UK September 2009 issue. Now, however, this look is starting to be seen much more on the street, as red is a hot new color this season and leopard print, which seemed to be in decline just a few seasons ago, appears to be coming back stronger than ever at an array of price points from discount to designer.
Red pants aren't the only ones making a comeback. Other fun colors are emerging, including plum, orange, hunter green and even bright yellow. So this week, spruce up your outfit with an extra punch of color in your jeans!
