Staycation with Sally Hansen at Texas A&M University

Exclusive Feature, From the Editor

This year was the first time I went on a real vacation in my four years here at Texas A&M University. I’m a professional at Staycationing and I find nothing wrong with it. It can be super relaxing and definitely a big money saver. After all, more money means more shopping, which is my favorite Staycation activity.

The Bryan-College Station area is a small college town and to outsiders, it seems like there isn’t much to do. It’s actually quite the opposite. There are many popular things to do and places to go on and off campus.  The most popular place is Northgate, located directly across the street from Texas A&M. The district has around 30 sports bars, dance clubs and restaurants creating the most entertaining atmosphere in the day or night.

The Department of Recreational Sports has more than enough fun and exciting things to do from fitness classes like Zumba to rock climbing and kick boxing. However, my favorite thing to do in the Rec is getting a massage. Texas A&M has it’s very own massage therapy center located right on campus. I love it!

The best form of therapy, for me, is definitely retail therapy. The boutiques around the Bryan-College Station area are perfect. We have one small mall, so having several unique stores to shop at is a plus. My favorite places to shop are Francesca’s, which is located inside of Post Oak Mall, Merge and Pine Boutique.

The campus of Texas A&M is so beautiful, especially this time of year. Sitting outside between classes is a must. Students tie hammocks to trees or lay blankets in the grass. I didn’t have either, so I found a bench and brought out my ELLE and Cosmopolitan magazines. Fashion magazines are great for finding new trends like the one I was styling that day: print mixing. It’s one of fashion’s riskiest trends but can also be one of the best. I paired together two interesting patterns with my favorite sandals.

Before making any Staycation moves or even getting dressed, I used Sally Hansen’s Ouch-Relief Wax Strip Kit to take care of any unwanted pesky hairs. This is also a major money saver instead of getting a $40 or more professional treatment. Sally Hansen is the #1 selling wax brand in the United States and has the longest lasting results. You can have a clean body and face for up to eight weeks!

The pre-wax strips are easy a ready to use. All I had to do was rub the strip to make a warm, place it where I desired and pull it right now! The Pain-relief technology really works! Just add a small amount of the given Azulene Finishing Oil and with your fashionable outfit, hair and make up and you are ready for a fabulous CollegeFashionista Staycation!

You can show off your Staycation style as well. To celebrate this partnership, CollegeFashionista is giving away $500 to one lucky winner who best captures their Staycation on social media. To enter, follow CollegeFashionista and Sally Hansen on Instagram. Upload a photo on Instagram using the hashtag #SallyHansenStaycation showing us your fashionable and fun Staycation.
