The Hangover (I'm sure you've seen it) is a great movie. One fashion trend that the movie may have played a part in fueling, or helped further it even more, was the man purse. Over the years in fashion, and with this new movement of feminism, it seems like gender lines and roles are being crossed. And that, in my mind, is a great thing. It opens up the possibilities of fashion and broadens the horizon. Some great brands and designers, such as Comme des Garcons, Vivienne Westwood, and others, have embraced these principals. As you can see on today's Fashionisto, one of the top styles in menswear right now is carrying man bag, otherwise known as a "murse". Leather bags seem to be most popular, but even a cheaper canvas bag would work. American Apparel, Urban Outfitters, and related stores carry great items for usually great prices.
Don't be afraid to explore and try new things. Many years ago, maybe it was taboo, but now, no one really cares. This is fashion; it is about comfort and expression. The time is now, you only live once. Most man bags are about look, usually, not function. So the one with a million pockets is probably not going to get the pick. But it's all about originality and creativity. Go for it.
