I caught today’s Fashionista outside of the dining hall looking polished and put together like a college student should be. Wearing a coat caught between the look of a proper trench coat and a casual cargo jacket, she looked as studious as ever. She complimented the look with ruffled flats and a pair of vintage looking flower earrings.
This jacket was the perfect solution to a North Face or other puffy winter coat that we have all grown tired of wearing. Trench coats are perfect for spring, and this Fashionista chose one that’s a bit more casual – perfect for wearing around campus. She even pointed out that the cute blue and white stripe lining added some extra warmth. Try a similar look with this BB Dakota jacket, or for an edgier look, splurge on this funky silk oversized coat.
Dark washed jeans seem to make any Fashionista look more put together. They also can dress down any formal jacket. Stick to a straight leg jean as opposed to a skinny for comfort on campus. Try a classic pair from Madewell. This Fashionista contrasted her metallic flats nicely with her dark wash of denim. Stand out with a pair of feminine flats like these, or opt for a pair of penny loafers for a retro vibe.
This Fashionista accessorized with a green scarf and pair of floral earrings. I think many of us grow comfortable with our earrings and only change them when dressing up. Don’t forget that studs can be just as fun as hoops or feathers. Get the same look with this Jeweled floral studs set or even check out these awesome Low Luv x Erin Wasson Evil Eye Stud Earrings.
Hint: Metallic shoes are definitely eye catchers and very stylish right now. If flats or loafers are not your taste try TOMS or Sperry Top-Sider’s. Even Payless has a metallic boat shoe. So, what are you waiting for?
