Amina Ali: A green maxi dress from Forever 21 (I got it on sale for $6!), a Cache watch, Guess earrings and sandals from Love Culture.
CF: How would you describe your style?
AA: It’s spontaneous and depends on my mood that day. I usually have to work after I’m done with classes so I like to look professional yet comfortable. Overall, I don’t like to wear what everyone else is wearing. I like to stand out.
CF: What is your favorite item in your closet?
AA: My vintage shorts that my mom gave me. She wore it in the ’70s and they fit perfectly! They are high-waisted and a piece that will never go out of style.
CF: What is your go-to, everyday look?
AA: Some comfortable jeans and a cute, loose fitting top. I wear sandals most of the time.
CF: What’s your favorite accessory?
AA: I love dangly earrings because they frame my face and add personality to my outfit.

AA: I love pastel colors. But overall, bright colors. Anything that stands out and corresponds with spring’s fun mood.

AA: Don’t feel like you have to be like everyone else. Wear what makes you feel confident and don’t be afraid to try new trends.
