If there’s one thing I can say about the fall 2012 fashion, it’s that green is the new black… hunter green that is! Hunter green has been popping up on runways and in stores, and it certainly shows no signs of slowing down. Many designers are using the new color trend to their advantage and featuring it in as many pieces in their collection as possible.
It has taken the world by storm (color storm that is) and most recently in New York Fashion Week. I noticed Anna Sui’s fall 2012 collection particularly used hunter green in many of the looks. She also used the color to its full potential by pairing it with other colors like multiple shades of blue.
This week's Fashionista incorporated her love for hunter green into her daily ensemble. I spotted her running from class to class on a busy first week of school. Her distressed shorts were the perfect piece for a hot day in Denver.
My favorite aspect about this fall’s trend is that it is extremely versatile. If you want to dress up your hunter green a bit, try this Nicole Miller lace dress. Add a smaller touch of the color by pairing the Linea Pelle Paige Skinny Belt around your jeans or even around the waist of your favorite dress.
It doesn’t matter how or where you show off this seasons newest color. Experimenting is the best idea to figure out which way works best for you!
