StyLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Holiday Ready

Style Advice of the Week

It may still be in the 50s and 60s in Denver almost everyday, but the winter season is in full swing. The holidays are right around the corner and everyone is in the gift giving, cookie baking and hot cocoa sipping spirit.

Nothing screams winter more than this Fashionista’s sweater. She is wearing a popular woven Nordic patterned sweater. To top it off, she also has fur around the collar. She then matched the black undertones of her sweater with a pair of black leggings.

This Nordic trend makes me imagine of how ski lodges mostly likely looked in the 80s. I love how the trend is coming back into style and more people are sporting their love for the winter season. The University of Denver has many students who venture off to the mountains on the weekends during the winter quarter and I have a feeling I will be seeing many sweaters and multiple accessories with this pattern.

A sweater that I found from Free People that I love is this Fairisle Lace Up Pullover. Free People gave this trend a twist by adding the lace-up top and also the front pocket. It is definitely something you would find me cuddling in on a cold winter night! I also think that these Kensie Nordic Print Tights from Nordstrom's are a fun way to make a statement. Pair it with a simple ivory sweater for a trendy outfit that it also comfortable!

Next time you hit the slopes or want to cuddle up next to the fireplace during the holiday season, try out the Nordic trend!
