It appears boys, too, have succumbed to sweater season. Irresistibly soft and unfailingly warm, it’s no wonder all students flock towards these versatile knits. With the brisker weather in full effect, they are the steadfast choice in expanding your winter wardrobes.
Fashionisto of the week Jared Fertig masters urban finesse in Upstate New York. His outfit generates a laidback but polished vibe, as he wears a trendy striped sweater highlighted by dark wash jeans. Peeking out the top, this Fashionisto matched his royal purple tee with a bracelet and Nike kicks, adding pops of color to an otherwise neutral ensemble.
Name: Jared Fertig
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Year: Sophomore
CollegeFashionista: Does your personality show through your style?
Jared Fertig: Yeah, I'd definitely say so. I think I have a diverse personality and I try to show that with the clothes I wear, namely the wide variety of colors and patterns I have.
CF: What would you never be caught wearing?
JF: Probably a miniskirt. I don't think I have the ability, or the legs, to pull that fashion statement off.
CF: What advice would you give other guys on holiday gift shopping for a girl?
JF: Anything that's really personal and shows you were thinking about her. I'd make her a T-shirt with my face on it, or a picture of the both of us.
How To: Printed sweaters like this Fashionisto’s are a cold campus essential. Try a similar striped look, or dare to experiment with bold geometric patterns. Paired with crisp denim pants and sneakers, all boys can achieve his city-inspired swag.
