There's nothing better than watching the trees turn from their glowing green colors to create the beautiful fall foliage of reds, oranges and yellows… and this Fashionista is embracing it! Spotted: this Fashionista did a great job pairing fall items for the warm weather that Pittsburgh has surprised us with once again. Bring on the snow!
Name: Devon Antonetti
Year: Senior
Major: Marketing and a Studio Arts minor
CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing?
Devon Antonetti: I am wearing a black peplum shirt from Target, Skinny Cords from Gap, jewelry from J.Crew and my favorite Frye cowboy boots.
CF: Who or what inspires your style?
DA: Friends really influence my style. If I like what they wear or how they put something together, I take that and put my own spin on it. I also love looking up trends through fashion blogs and magazines.
CF: What are you excited to wear for Christmas and/or New Years?
DA: I love wearing something with a little (or a lot) of sparkle. For Christmas I like to be comfy, but its fun for New Years to wear something new and special!
CF: Where are your favorite places to shop?
DA: Since I work at the Gap, a majority of my closet comes from Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy. I also really like Anthropologie, J.Crew and Target for a little splurge.
CF: What should every Fashionista have in her closet?
DA: Colored Jeans, Tall Boots and a Statement Necklace.
How to: The peplum look is great to wear as a shirt, skirt or dress. It is easy to dress up a casual pair of pants like Devon has done, or dress up a plain shirt with a cute peplum skirt. You can find the style essentially in any store since the look has been around for the past few seasons. Get yourself a fun peplum dress to wear for the holiday season or buy your roommate one to wear on New Years Eve!
