PASSIONISTO SPOTLIGHT: Bryan Rocha

Passionisto Spotlight

When I look at blogs like Jak & Jil, I often question what are the chances I'm going to see a man dressed that stylish in Los Angeles. The so called SoCal style seems too unruly to allow the well put-together European style to walk its streets. However, there is always that one black sheep. Dressed in almost impaccable simplicity, this week's Passionisto Bryan Rocha shows how effective simple staples can deliver an amazing look. What is his passion? It's fashion, and in his words “amalgamated neo-retro fashion.”

Name: Bryan Rocha

Passion: Amalgamated neo-retro fashion

Year: Senior

CollegeFashionista: How does your passion influence the way you dress?
Bryan Rocha: My passion influences every piece of my style because I love to mix and match decades. I don't like to stick to one particular look — so I love meshing '70s inspired corduroy bottoms with colorful '80s colors and '90s patterned tops, etc. Merging together all of these styles allows me to create a look all of my own.

CF: What's your go-to piece?
BR: My go-to piece is my YSL white collared short sleeved shirt. It reflects my more refined side and matches with practically everything I own.

CF: How do you prepare yourself in the morning?
BR: I wake up. Shower. Wash my face. Brush my teeth. Floss. Use mouth wash. Put on my clothes. Do my hair. Then leave.
