How I Replaced Perfumes with Essential Oils

As the heat escalates this summer, it can be a struggle to smell fresh and feel beautiful. In an effort to save money and smell nice in the heat, scented oils and lotions are great to keep your skin glowing all summer long. For example, I first tried peony-scented oil to replace pricey lotions and perfumes. After using this scented oil, I haven’t used many expensive perfumes this summer.

For soft and lovely smelling skin, I have been using essential body oils. These oils come in different scents like lavender, peony, honeysuckle, eucalyptus, rose, and jasmine. Scented oils are known to be very therapeutic and have many health benefits that help with insomnia, moods, and mental states. Not only will the oils help the body physically, but they can also leave your skin smelling wonderful.

Recently, I have chosen to use a peony-scented oil that I bought for about six dollars per vile. I love these scented oils because they can replace expensive brand-name perfumes. Every morning, I put about a fingertip amount of oil onto my neck and wrist for the perfume effect, and the smell of peonies lasts nearly all day! Scented oils can be a natural and cheaper replacement for some pricey perfumes you’ll find in stores.

In addition to the peony-scented oil, one of the best products for skin in the summer is coconut oil. Coconut oil has great curative properties for your body. The oil can be used to help with anti-aging, nail growth, and cooking. Personally, I have used coconut oil in the past to help clear eczema and as a natural makeup remover. The only drawback is if you happen to put too much oil on the skin, the oil will likely get all over your clothes. It’s always best to let the oil fully absorb into the skin before putting on any type of clothing.
