Style Guru Bio: Rebecca Bertuccio

Style Guru Bio

Hi! My name is Rebecca Bertuccio and I'm thrilled to join the CollegeFashionista team this semester! I'm currently a sophomore double majoring in psychology and spanish at Manhattan College. Aside from my studies, I've always loved photography and art, and have especially grown more passionate about writing, reading, traveling, and of course, fashion. I must admit I owe a great deal of my love for fashion to my first year college experience. College has allowed me to express myself and has encouraged me to embrace my individuality. With New York City right in my backyard, I've had countless opportunities to further explore the surroundings that inspire and define me. My eyes have been opened up to a whole new world of creativity, which includes an exciting realm of fashion right at my fingertips!

I like to let my clothes do the talking because I believe an outfit is worth a thousand words! Nevertheless, if I had to describe my style I'd say it's always classic and simple. If you took a peek inside my closet, you'd find hangers full of plaid, stripes, comfy sweaters, blouses and a whole lot of denim. I absolutely cannot live without my jeans and my moccasins. My most prized accessories are my scarves and belts because they have an effortless power to perfect any ensemble. While I may have certain looks that I love to stick to, I'm always willing to experiment and try new things with my style. Every day is a blank canvas patiently waiting to be turned into something beautiful, so why not take chances by making each day glorious with creative attire! An outfit is not just a mere mixture of clothes but rather an empowering and artistic expression of oneself. Always remember that behind every outfit lies an inspiring and special personality!

I’ll be writing for FASHIONISTA/O SPOTLIGHT this semester and I'm really looking forward to meeting new people and getting to know their unique personalities through their different styles. Look out for my upcoming posts every Wednesday!
