As a new semester begins, an exciting fashion-filled adventure discovering new Fashionistas and Fashionistos awaits! My name is Rebecca Bertuccio and I’m delighted to return this semester as a Style Guru at Manhattan College. I am a sophomore currently studying Psychology and Spanish, but after writing for CollegeFashionista these past few months and embracing my interest in literature, I’ve decided to add English into the mix. I’ve learned so much in these past couple of months in my classes as well as in my interviews with fellow style enthusiasts, so I am especially excited to see what this semester has to bring.
I’m really looking forward to uncovering the hidden Fashionistas and Fashionistos and discovering their original styles and their individual personalities. I’ve met so many amazing people so far and I’m eager to meet more. Every interview with a Fashionista has a way of teaching me something new about fashion and I just can’t wait to learn more. These interviews reveal the best ways to dress fashionably on a college budget. I personally love to shop on the clearance racks in my favorite stores and obsess over the thrill of finding great deals at thrift stores. When it comes to my style, I always try to keep it simple. However, I still enjoy trying out different looks when I’m inspired by my peers. My New York City surroundings constantly influence me and open my eyes to new and exciting fashion ideas!
I’ll be writing the Fashionista/Fashionisto Spotlight section this semester, so stay tuned for my posts every Wednesday and always make sure to dress fashionably!
