CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing?
Jacquelyn Beaulieu: My shoes are from ALDO, my tights are from Free People, my watch is from Michael Kors, my bracelets are from Alex and Ani and everything else is from H&M!
CF: What makes your style unique?
JB: It’s very preppy, chic and girly. I like to wear everything tucked in and I also really love wearing skirts. I just think you can never be too dressed up!
CF: What is one of your favorite fashion items?
JB: Collars! They make an outfit look so much more dressed up. If you ever feel like your outfit is missing something, sometimes a simple collar is all you need!
CF: How does fashion play a role into your everyday life?
JB: It’s literally everything I think about. It’s a huge part of my future career plans. My dream job would be to work with Chanel and to eventually be a stylist.
CF: If you could raid anyone’s closet whose would it be?
JB: Olivia Palermo. We have very similar tastes and I just love how versatile she is. She can rock pants and a blazer or a skirt with pumps and she just makes everything look so gorgeous. She really inspires my style.
CF: Who else inspires your style?
JB: Rachel Zoe is my idol! And I also love the way Blair Waldorf dresses from Gossip Girl. Those are both huge fashion inspirations.
How To: Dressing preppy and polished for class is a sure way to look and feel successful! Slip into chic black tights and a flared black skirt to go for that timeless and classic look. Tuck in a brightly colored cardigan into your skirt and to create an intriguing look, and wear a blouse with an embellished collar underneath or put on an original collar necklace! Add the final touches to the outfit by donning oxford shoes or simple black flats then pile on your favorite bracelets to complete the ensemble.
