REAL WAY RUNWAY: Model On Duty

Cara. Jourdan. Suki. From stunning beauty to designer BFFs to heartthrob manfriends—these models seem to have it all both on and off the runway. And while we can all be jealous of Suki’s relationship with Bradley Cooper or Cara’s direct line to Karl Lagerfeld, perhaps my greatest moment of envy was when these ladies walked in Burberry Prorsum’s fall 2014 show. Besides unveiling the world to one of Christopher Bailey’s best collections to date, the ladies were gifted the monogrammed blanket scarves they all wore during the finale of the show. Oh to be a model…

Immediately after the show hit the internet, I scoured the internet trying to figure out how to get my hands on a Burberry monogrammed blanket shawl. I was elated to find I too could have my very own straight from the runway accessory—for a mere $1,400. After I wiped up my tears and cursed my genetics, my spirits were then lifted when I spied this Fashionista.

This Fashionista’s poncho definitely is inspired by the lust-worthy fall 2014 runway show. The oversized plaid has a very Burberry-esque feel to it. The black, white and tan is offset by punches of primary colors. The deep red, yellow and blue are all classic and fitting for the colder season. I love how this Fashionista made the look her own by pairing the blanket shawl with a simple skirt, sweater and collared button-down.

Sure this Fashionista may not have the “Sexiest Man Alive” on her arm. But her runway-inspired poncho definitely comes in a close second.

Get Her Look: 1. Blanket shawl. 2. Iron-on letters. 3. Collared shirt. 4. Skirt.
