I never really knew what to think about the romper; the name itself sounds provocative. The idea of wearing a full body piece of clothing was intimidating to me. How do you expect me to go to the bathroom with this thing on? Is an outfit suppose to be a game? I do not want to accept this challenge! You can say that I wasn’t sure if this relationship was going to work between the romper and I, until I saw this Fashionista looking very comfortable in her ensemble. I don’t know if it was the caffeine talking from the coffee I just bought, but I was instantly interested in her beautiful lace romper. Then, I came to the realization that you can have an amazing outfit with just one piece AND it’s easy to put on. I think I am in love.

CollegeFashionista: What are you wearing and where did you get it from?
Lauren Rombach: I am wearing a lace romper; I got it from NASTY GAL on Cyber Monday because you can’t go on there when it has the normal prices. Then, a little neon bag from Forever 21 and little tote-colored booties from Bakers.
CF: What online stores do you normally go to?
LR: Definitely Forever 21 because they have such great prices, Urban Outfitters when they have their sales because that can be expensive, too, and NASTY GAL is my favorite.
CF: What are some of the ways you save money when you are shopping?
LR: Like I said, I go on when it’s Cyber Monday. I do subscribe to all their emails. I will receive emails that say free shipping for that day or three shirts for one.
CF: What are you looking forward to wearing for the spring?
LR: Shorts, florals; I do love florals. I do wear neon, like bright colors, any time, but they are not acceptable around that time and definitely white, I love wearing white!
How To: The one thing that I will stress when it comes to rompers is to make sure your bottom is covered. You don’t want grandma to faint when you go over for tea and she just happens to see what kind of underwear you decided to wear for that day. Make sure you do everything you can in the fitting room to make sure this doesn’t happen. Other than that, rompers can be very versatile. You can wear a skater skirt over it, or if you decide to wear a romper just as it is, buy one with a cinch waist. It will give definition to your waist.
