My name is Rachel Eisen and I am just about to start my junior year at Colgate University in upstate New York. I am actually currently sitting in my apartment, staring at all of my boxes to unpack for the third time and in total shock that I am this far through college.
Here at Colgate, I am an International Relations and French major. But more importantly, I am involved in a variety of activities ranging from community service to tour guiding. Beyond these activities, I have always been very interested in fashion. When I am back home, this fashion obsession usually manifests itself in the form of a shopping addiction and high credit card bill. But at Colgate, stores are limited to just one, Steph, and I never quite got the hang of online shopping. Therefore, I now soothe all of my fashion compulsions by scouring magazines and blogs as well as writing for my own personal blog, Colored Shadows.
My fashion blogging expanded this past summer when I became Colgate’s new Style Guru for College Fashionista. Therefore, over this past summer, I’ve been having so much fun going up to unsuspecting strangers on the streets of my hometown of San Francisco to photograph them.
However, I am even more excited to look around the paths of Colgate University this fall to meet some true Fashionistas on my very own campus. So watch for me in class, at the coop or on your walk up Persson steps because I might just want to take your picture!
