In a city of Nike shorts and oversized T-shirts, it is always refreshing to spot a bold and fearless Fashionista on South Carolina’s campus. This Fashionista is no exception. From statement-making prints to colorful hues, her look was indeed bold and fearless — not to mention eye-catching, exciting and oh so trendy!
The basis of this Fashionista’s look simply screamed springtime. While it is only February, the weather has been warming up in South Carolina, making it easy to steer away from a winter wardrobe of dark neutrals. Her purple pants caught my eye, standing out in a sea of dark denim, leggings and oversized sweats. She paired the pants with a basic white sheer top, creating a canvas for an array of eye-catching accessories.
The focus of this Fashionista’s accessories was on her black pumps that were accented with gold studs. Studs are extremely on-trend, and can be found as an embellishment on everything from denim shorts to bracelets, handbags, shirts and shoes. However, she did not stop there. Her geometric-embellished clutch added an extra pop of color, and balanced the edginess throughout the outfit. Making sure to not go too overboard with accessories, she chose a solid gold bib necklace for the top half of the outfit.
To achieve this Fashionista’s look, start with a pair of colored denim and a sheer button-down. Add a pair of studded pumps, a statement-making clutch and a bold — yet not too overpowering — necklace.
