As I strolled through the walkways of our University Towne Center mall I began to notice all the signs and window displays screaming their new fall releases. Leave it to shopping to alert me that summer is quickly coming to an end and fall is starting to nip at our heels. It makes me sad to see summer days passing by without any solution of stopping it, but admittedly fall fashion is my biggest turn on of all. Right now San Diego is delivering that type of weather where any kind of outfit is fair game. I have been spotting pants with button-up shirts, shorts with V-necks, and the ever so classic rainbows and bro tanks.
While I was in search for a new pair of sunglasses, a Fashionisto suddenly passed me by and I practically ran after to him to get a closer look at his ensemble for the day. Although it was not his trending plaid shirt that caught my eye, it was his pants. These pants are not textured, even though that’s what I thought at first, instead the fabric holds a saturated grainy look in the thread that contrasts the casual look in the rest of his outfit. These pants are the perfect piece to wear during this time of the year because they are light enough to still make it feel like summer but practical enough to accommodate the demands fall brings.
Hint: Pair the pants with a light weight sweater. In my opinion, a three-quarter sleeve sweater would look amazing during the summer to fall transition. Also these pants have the potential to assist in a nice evening wear outfit if matched with a complementary button-up shirt and dress shoes.
