LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS: Wear and Tear!

Let's Hear it for the Boys

Mixing preppy and edgier pieces have become quite popular recently. I spotted this Fashionisto rocking demolished jeans and a polished  sweater with some killer combat boots.

This look is another great layering outfit for the fall! Pair a simple pull-over sweater with a collared shirt.  This is a classic style that never gets old. If you want to punch up the edge wear a graphic crew neck with a collared shirt.  Check out this awesome crew neck from Givenchy.

These boots were made for walking! I love these boots on our Fashionisto. Combat boots give almost every outfit that rock star quality. As I've mentioned before in last week’s post they're a great cold weather essential.

Ripped jeans without returning to the '90s grunge era. These jeans have lots of distressing, but not a lot of skin!  Stay away from denim that has holes in questionable places. Note how the jeans are tucked in to showcase those awesome boots.  The destroyed denim would also look great with a band tee if it's not quite cool enough for a sweater yet.

Hint: Want to get this look?  You can pick up some great sweaters from American Eagle, Macy’s and H&M! You can get the Nautical Stripped look for less at Old Navy. Grab some demolished denim either from some of your older jeans that have worn out over the years, or pick up some Levi’s or a pair from JC Penny’s. For boots check out your local thrift store like Goodwill or any other local consignment shops. If you’re at Texas Tech you can go to Culture Clothing! If you want to get a new pair try some Dr. Martens!
