ACCESSORIES REPORT: Fall Flat Into Fall

Accessories Report

Many may not realize it in North Carolina but autumn/fall is definitely upon us despite the warm temperatures that we have been experiencing lately. This transition between the seasons can definitely be seen in the fashion choices on campus. This Fashionista handled the weather like a pro with her stylish selection. She opted to layer a cardigan over her printed tank for the chilly morning, which she could easily remove when it heated up in the evening. Her brown skirt by H&M adorned with a cream tie-sash was long enough to shield away any morning chills but still perfect to feel the summer like breeze. She topped the look off with accents of color to balance out the look that included red lady like flats and a great pair of navy Ray-Ban sunglasses to block out anything from disturbing this Fashionista’s day. Her red flats were a perfect choice for fall that transitions well from the summer sandals. This Fashionista is not the only one flaunting her flats celebrities such as Beyonce and Rihanna have been seen sporting their flats lately as well.

If Miu Miu's fall 2012 collection does not get you excited about grabbing this great accessory for fall, I'm not sure what will. If not here is some other options for you to try: leopard print suede oxfords by Dolce Vita, lovely geometric print flats by Rebecca Minkoff and lady like ballet flats from BCBGMAXAZRIA. Whichever you choose you can't go wrong, just put your best foot forward.

Spotted: This trend was spotted on Derek Lam's fall 2012 ready-to-wear collection that included menswear inspired flats and oxfords. This trend has been a hit on runways and will soon be a hit, if not already, at your campus as well.
