ACCESSORIES REPORT: These Boots Don’t Lie

Accessories Report

Leaves have officially changed colors and fallen off the trees. Yes ladies, this means you can pull your boots out of your closet. Not only are is there a large selection of styles, but there are also so many different ways you can wear them. Whether you want an over-the-knee cognac pair or black combat boots, like this Fashionista, you can do so much with either.

Each pair of boots you wear makes a statement. Cowboy boots say you’re always ready to have a good time. Riding boots say you’re casual but still ready for an impromptu business meeting. Booties say I’m dressed up and ready to party. Yes, you can tell all of this just based on the boots you’re wearing that day.

This Fashionista chose the “I like to look cute, but don’t mess with me” look with her combat boots. When I was growing up combat boots were considered a punk rock look, but they have recently become very popular. My favorite thing about combat boots is that they can fit with any look. You can wear them with a dress, jeans, leggings, skirts and shorts. It is almost always appropriate to throw on your combat boots.

My personal favorite brand of combat boots is Steve Madden. I love their tall boots with the zipper up the back, but I love the combat boots with the zipper even more. They already have the distressed look and you can wear the folded over as well. Other great brands are Vince Camuto, Etienne Aigner and Aldo.

Spotted: Rachel Zoe featured booties in her fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear collection.
