As the temperature starts to drop, we are forced to get creative with how we stay warm; cardigans, sweaters, scarves, shawls and hats are all options. I always have to check the forecast before I leave the house because dressing inappropriately for the weather can ruin your day. This Fashionista went for a shrug, and I think it is exactly what the outfit needed.
Sweaters are dangerous territory because they can sometimes make you look bulky. Furthermore, when you try to wear a sweater with a shirt that has sleeves, the sleeves sometimes show through the fabric. To remedy this I usually try to wear tank tops with sweaters, but that takes away the warm factor.
The great thing about this Fashionista’s shrug is that it shows off her figure in the front and I also love its texture. It’s a simple, gray shrug but at the same time all of its elements add so much to the outfit.
The colder it gets, the more difficult it becomes to show off your outfits. You can always wear a stylish jacket, but then no one can see what you are wearing underneath. This Fashionista found the perfect alternative. She was able to wear a long sleeve shirt, stay comfortable for the weather and pull off a fashionable look.
If you are looking for shrugs to add to your wardrobe, you can find a coral, tasseled option at Dorothy Perkins or if you are looking for something to spice up a night outfit Buckle has a fun sparkly option.
Spotted: Fendi had a great assortment of jackets, sweaters and coats in its fall ready-to-wear collection.
