It’s finals week here at IC, and it seems that the student body has suddenly turned into a bunch of zombies: every student I see is toting a stack of notecards, a blank stare and a pair of ratty sweatpants. But there is a way to be stylish and ace your exams, and this Fashionisto shows us how to do it.
I love this outfit because of it’s simplicity and effortlessness. It’s a few steps up from throwing on the first wrinkly T-shirt you see in the morning, but this Fashionisto obviously didn’t spend hours agonizing over which shoes to wear. Good khakis, a solid pullover sweater and a simple, cozy scarf should be in every boy’s closet because of their versatility. This Fashionisto can separate and mix-and-match each of these pieces to get a completely different look. What’s even better about this outfit is that it’s budget-friendly: everything is from the Gap or Old Navy. My absolute favorite part of this Fashionisto’s outfit are his shoes. I don’t think there’s a word to describe them (high-top boat shoe-sneaker hybrids?) but they add interest and uniqueness to the outfit.
If fashion is new to you, follow this Fashionisto’s lead: buy some basics in solid and neutral colors, then pick out a few interesting pieces, like cool sneakers or graphic T-shirts, to make you stand out. This sweater from the Gap can be worn with nearly anything and comes in several colors. Classic, dark jeans are a wardrobe staple, like this pair from Levi’s. Top this look off with a graphic scarf from Urban Outfitters and leather sneakers from Aldo, and you’ll be well on your way to acing your exams and your wardrobe.
