STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: White on White on White

Style Advice of the Week

Even after Labor Day? Of course! Why not? After wearing all those neon and patterned clothes all summer it only makes sense that when fall arrives we welcome the look of a natural palette into our lives. Not only is the look of an all white ensemble chic, its also a good alternative to adding a little brightness into your wardrobe during those dark winter months. Did I also mention that white is super chic?

I love how this Fashionista put her look together by using different shades of white. The high waisted cream shorts complement her white tank top perfectly! And her tan sandals complete her outfit’s neutral theme. This outfit is a great look for that Arizona fall heat that just doesn’t seem to ever go away! When temperatures do eventually drop, white jeans with a cream sweater or top and either black or brown boots would make a great winter wonderland outfit.

Going all white is almost unheard of. If I haven’t convinced you that different shades of white are complimentary, then head to Style.com to find some inspiration. Designer Jonny Johansson created a perfect all white look for the Acne Pre-Fall 2012 collection. Alexander Wang also created multiple monochromatic looks with his T by Alexander Wang Pre-Fall 2012 collection as well using more than just white for his looks. I’m sure all of you have white pieces of clothing but if you still need a few more essentials try a pair of white jeans from Forever 21 if you aren’t ready to invest $300 into a pair of J Brand Jeans (don’t you wish you could though). White jeans are a perfect way to start trying out this monochromatic white trend and are versatile as well. So go ahead and break that Labor Day rule and wear white all winter long!
