The Who, What, and When of Watching the Latest Netflix Releases

March 10th, 2017 at 2:00am

Each month, Netflix removes films that have long been available from their streaming service. As old material is cleared out, new material takes its place.

With midterms and spring break on the horizon, watching some Netflix is the perfect way to spend a few hours—be it for solace from studying or just to enjoy a good film. This month, Netflix has added movies for every occasion. So grab some popcorn and a few friends and press play.

Spring Break: Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and Jurassic Park III. Spring break is your time to sit back and relax, so why not have a dino-themed marathon? Even if you have seen Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic and its sequels, it is always fun to explore a world slightly beyond our own.

Girl’s Night: The Craft. A ’90s cult-classic filled with mean girl fights, boy drama, and, well, witchcraft. While we may not be able to relate to (literally) cursing our high school enemies or changing our hair color with the work of a spell, we all know what it’s like facing the ups and downs of high school and friendships, making it the perfect film to watch with your gal pals.

Study Break: Blazing Saddles. Mid-terms can cause a lot of stress, and sometimes you just need a few hours to laugh it off. Created by Mel Brooks, Blazing Saddles is one of the most iconic comedies of all time. So, join Gene Wilder and the Wild West for a few hours to take your mind off that statistics exam that is next week.
